How the Story begins
Water in front, and an army behind. This story is true, and it comes from the Qur’an. It is the story of the Prophet Musa, peace be upon him, and the day Allah made a dry path right through the middle of the sea. It is a story about trusting Allah, even when there seems to be no way out. Let’s find out what happened.
Musa and his brother, the Prophet Harun, peace be upon him, had shown Pharaoh many signs from Allah. But Pharaoh would not believe, and he would not let the Children of Israel go. He stayed proud and cruel. So Allah told Musa: Travel by night with My servants. You will be followed.
Life was very hard for the Children of Israel in those days. Musa had told them: My people, if you believe in Allah, then put your trust in Him. And they answered: In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord, save us by Your mercy. They had faith that Allah would help them, even though they could not yet see how.
