How the Story begins
Two women waited by a desert well. What happened next is true, and it is in the Qur’an. It is the story of the Prophet Musa, peace be upon him, on a long journey across the desert, and of a kind thing he did at a well. It is a story about helping others, about being strong and honest, and about asking Allah for what we need. Let’s begin.
When Musa was a baby, Allah kept him safe, and he grew up in the land of Egypt, in the palace of Pharaoh. The Qur’an tells us that when Musa grew into a strong young man, Allah gave him wisdom and knowledge. And Allah says that this is how He rewards people who do good.
One day, a man came running from the farthest end of the city. He had come to warn Musa. He said: Musa, the important men are planning to harm you, so leave! I am giving you honest advice. Musa was in danger, and he had to leave Egypt quickly.
