Shu'ayb and the Fair Scales

The Prophet Shu'ayb, peace be upon him, is sent to his own people in the busy market town of Madyan, where people give a little less than they should when they sell. He asks them to be fair and honest, and he does what he tells others to do. The story teaches us to keep our own scales fair.

Shu’ayb told them: “I can see that you are doing well.” Many scholars explain that the Qur’an also calls them the people of the thicket, a place of thick, green trees. They had everything they needed.
